TUITION & POLICIES


We accept children 18 months to 5 years old

We make tours of our Day Care by appointment only. Please send us an email to misdaycaregreenpoint@gmail.com to schedule a tour.


Tuition - Weekly

Full time admission Monday to Friday $ 500

Home cooked meals, snacks, water and juices provided on site.

Access to our own backyard.

Enriched curriculum. Please check our Facebook to see our activities on a daily/weekly basis.

One time Registration Fee $100 (including art and crafts materials, etc)

Late fee: $30.00 per every 10 minutes after 5:30pm


Day care fees are paid every Monday for the following week. You can pay monthly or bi-weekly, via cash or check. If a check is returned for non-sufficient funds, there will be a $30 fee incurred as a result of the returned check.

Deposit (one week of tuition) is required on the first week of care and it will be returned to you as a payment for the last week of your child’s attendance at MIS. We require 1 (one) month notice if you would like to withdraw your child from MIS. If no notice is given, we have the right to hold the one week payment deposit. Parents and the Provider sign a yearly Contract.

Childcare fees are based on enrollment (a reserved space), not on attendance. To maintain a reserved space, fees must be paid during the absence of a child due to illness, holidays, or vacation.

We do not charge for the two weeks when our Day Care is closed in August.

We are closed for the following holidays and vacation break:

  • New Years Day

  • Christmas Day

  • Thanksgiving Day and day after

  • Fourth of July

  • Memorial Day

  • 2 week break in August (last two weeks along with Labor Day)

Immunizations

By the State of New York Public Health Law Immunization are required for all children wanting to enroll to day care. NYS recommended Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule.

These requirements can be waived if any of the exceptions below are filed with the daycare.

  • Any child not yet immunized may be admitted provided the child’s immunizations are in process, written notice that gives specific dates of immunization schedule is required.

  •  As of June 13, 2019 religious exemptions are no longer accepted.

  • Any child who is missing one or more of the required immunizations may be admitted if a physician licensed to practice medicine furnishes the program with a written statement that such immunizations may be detrimental to child’s health and public. 

NAPS

  • Children nap from 1to 2:30

  • Children under two will always be placed on their backs to sleep, unless there is a signed Alternate Sleep Position Waver - Health Care Professional Recommendation.

    Meals

  • 9am Breakfast

  • 10:30am Fruit and veggie snack

  • 12:00pm Lunch

  • 3pm Supper

  • 5pm Snack

    Our Day Care belongs to Child and Adult Care Program. All of our meals are prepared on premises. Children are served nutritious meals and snacks and develop healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime. Providers receive regular training and guidance about nutrition, mealtime and child development topics.

    We serve 1% milk and water.

    Breakfast menu: cereal (whole grain, no colors), scramble eggs, oatmeal, waffle, farina, muffins, fruits, vegetables

    Snacks: Seasonal fruits, vegetables, yogurts, sandwiches, crackers

    Lunch: homemade soups; vegetable, mushroom, potatoes and leek soup, tomato soup with rice or macaroni chicken noodle, barley soup, cucumber soup, pasta, rice, meatballs, chicken cutlets, macaroni and cheese, variety of salads

     If your child has any allergies, please notify us immediately so that appropriate precautions can be taken to keep allergens away from your child.

    Birthdays

    We would love to celebrate your child’s birthday. A birthday at day care is very important in the life of your child. All children wait in anticipation for that day when we celebrate with music and games. We are more than happy to decorate a themed party with decorations provided by the family (banners, cakes, plates, napkins) to make this day more memorable.

    Visitor Policy

    Visitors and parents are welcome, but please notify us in advance as not to disturb our schedule.

    Child Abuse Laws/Mandated Reporters

    Under New York State Law, all teachers are mandated reporters, and are legally required to report any suspected case of child abuse or neglect of children.

    Documents

    Parents will receive folder with required documents and medical form to be filled out by the doctor. List of supplies will be attached to that folder.
